The opening event runs from 5 pm until midnight during the day and sets the tone for a summer programme built around international electronic music, open-air club culture and large-scale seasonal gatherings. Vision Open Air has become a key date in the Italian electronic music calendar since its first edition on the former Macello site in April 2024, signifying the transition from indoor club nights to the open-air energy of spring and summer.
The 2026 opening will be led by Ilario Alicante and his project LINK, a piece about the relationship between artist and audience. The idea is based on connection, in line with the Vision Open Air’s overarching philosophy of designing shared, participatory moments that focus on the crowd experience.
The broader 2026 programme is built on that ambition, bringing together a strong run of globally recognised DJs across house, techno and surrounding electronic sounds. Following the opening date, Mochakk Calling Milano will take over on Saturday, 16 May, before June sees East End Dubs and Franky Rizardo on Saturday, 13 June. Japanese selector ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U will be in action later that month on Friday 19 June, adding another distinctive voice to the season’s programming.
Vision Open Air has built a name for itself over the years as a versatile event that features a wide range of electronic music styles not just one. The show’s music has always switched between house, techno, and related styles, which has made it popular with a wide range of music fans.
All of the 2026 season’s aftershows will be at Amnesia Milano, which will move the events from the open air to one of the city’s established club spaces. Vision Open Air has become known for this link between daytime outdoor events and late-night club culture, which gives audiences a full day-to-night experience.
Ilario Alicante, Mochakk, East End Dubs, Franky Rizardo, ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U, and Charlotte de Witte have all confirmed that they will be at Vision Open Air in 2026. This means that it will continue to be one of Italy’s biggest electronic music events before summer.
