Electronic music visionaries and industry icons Seth Troxler and Bill Patrick have announced the official launch of Flirting With Friendship, a new video-first, hour-long podcast. Episode 1, featuring Seth and Bill, is now available on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts. Presented and produced by StrataSonic, the podcast reflects the label’s vision of becoming a collaborative creative hub for ideas and innovation.”
Filmed in a living room in Ibiza—Seth’s parents’ living room, to be precise—Flirting With Friendship invites audiences into an intimate late-night setting where stories unfold, connections spark, and the unexpected takes center stage. Each week, Troxler and Patrick welcome eclectic guests for free-flowing conversations that blur the line between profound and absurd, scored with music and punctuated by spontaneous audience interactions. The result is part existential afterparty, part cultural salon—an experiment in vulnerability, humor, and human connection.
Friendships are funny, our life is based on connections. In many ways those connections determine who we are. At some point meeting new friends or opening up to existing friends becomes more rare the older you get. Flirting with Friendship is about breaking down that barrier. I didn’t really have a choice when it came to doing this show. I was told, “We’re doing a podcast,” and I blindly went along with it. That’s the kind of trust (or poor judgment) that comes with being friends with someone for a long time. This show isn’t about teaching you how to be a better person. It’s about proving you’re not the only one with questionable life choices and friends who never let you forget them. In addition to the flagship series, a companion segment, Pill-O-Talk, will alternate weekly. Recorded in a more intimate setting, Pill-O-Talk centers on audience interaction: listeners submit voicemails about their friendship dilemmas, which Troxler and Patrick answer with anecdotes, advice, and wit. Episodes run around 20 minutes, offering a playful counterbalance to the main series.
The first season of Flirting With Friendship features appearances by Roisin Murphy, Damian Lazarus, Felipe Pantone, John Acquaviva, Chris Korda, Miranda Makaroff & Pascal Moscheni, George Stavro, Marcello Burlon, DJ Tennis, and more, alongside an introductory episode with the hosts themselves.
Known globally as DJs and cultural tastemakers, Troxler and Patrick are now expanding their creative worlds beyond the touring circuit. The podcast reflects their vision of positive masculinity and a shift toward curating culture in new formats that champion curiosity, community, and connection in ways that extend past the dance floor.
Behind Flirting With Friendship is a powerhouse team shaping the show’s sound, vision, and production. The podcast is produced by Nikita Stanley (Writer, Co-Founder of The Rebel Mama), Jesse Rogg (also the podcast’s Creative Director, President of StrataSonic and Owner of Mack Sennett Studios), and Craig Pettigrew (Future Primitive, BPM Festival Founder). Set design is by Veronica Gessa, aka mokibaby, the multimedia installation artist behind iconic club Space in Miami and III Points festival, and award-winning cinematographer Lukas Strebel comes in as Director of Photography (Black Mirror).
Since their acclaimed collaboration on Dave Chappelle’s The Midnight Miracle—named one of 2021’s best podcasts by Apple and The New York Times—Lee Adams, Jasper Van Dijk, and Tyler Christie, have each advanced as leaders in their fields: Adams with Emmy-nominated documentaries for VICE, Vox, and Amazon; Van Dijk with award-winning scores for BBC, Amazon, and FOX; and Christie with editing work for Netflix, Hulu, and NBC’s 2025 series Survival Mode. Director of Photography Lukas Strebel has also distinguished himself with Emmy- and BAFTA-recognized cinematography and a return to fine art photography.
The Flirting With Friendship project marks StrataSonic’s expansion into original media, with Flirting With Friendship serving as its inaugural podcast initiative.
