UK electronic duo Nichols+Roark step into a defining new chapter with the release of their Full Circle EP, marking their debut on the iconic Renaissance label. The four-track project carries a deeper resonance for the pair, symbolising a personal and creative homecoming shaped by decades of connection to the brand and its dancefloor legacy.
For Nichols+Roark, the title Full Circle is more than a name – it reflects the journey that first inspired their path into electronic music. Over two decades ago, both artists were regular attendees at Renaissance events across Nottingham, Ibiza, and London. Those formative experiences left a lasting imprint on their musical identity, making their first official release on the label a moment that feels both reflective and forward-looking.

Across the EP’s four tracks, the duo blend progressive house with subtle indie dance influences, balancing emotive songwriting with club-focused momentum. The opening cuts, Superfly and Rhythm State, lean into the pair’s melodic instincts, pairing driving basslines and tight percussion with expressive synth work. While Rhythm State explores futuristic textures and sci-fi-leaning synth tones, Superfly builds around a hypnotic four-bar loop that anchors its groove throughout.
At the centre of Rhythm State lies the vocal refrain “listen to the rhythm”, a deliberate nod to slower, immersive listening in contrast to today’s rapid, skip-driven streaming culture. The track unfolds gradually, inviting listeners to stay with the groove rather than rush past it.
Elsewhere, Loyou introduces a collaborative dimension to the EP, created alongside German artist Zoka. The track emerged from a connection formed during ADE’s sunrise gathering at The Loft and channels retro-futuristic inspiration, drawing on analogue synth textures reminiscent of 1980s sci-fi aesthetics. Haunting vocal fragments and nostalgic synth layers combine to create a darker, cinematic mood that expands the project’s sonic palette.
Closing the EP is Blue, featuring Ro (Rory Hope), presented here in a remix by German producer Ron Flatter. Originally released as a synth-pop track exploring vulnerability and heartbreak, the new remix transforms the record for club environments while preserving the emotional core of its vocal performance.
The release also signals Nichols+Roark’s continued presence within the global progressive house scene, where they have previously delivered music on labels including The Soundgarden, Selador and Balance. Known for blending melodic storytelling with deep techno and progressive textures, the duo have built a reputation for crafting immersive electronic music designed for extended dancefloor journeys.
With Full Circle, Nichols+Roark reconnect with the scene that first inspired them while pointing firmly toward the future. To celebrate the release, the duo will also appear alongside Anthony Pappa at the Renaissance x Deep Underground afterparty “Rave In A Cave” in Nottingham, where selections from the EP will feature in their set.
