Following a series of incredible shows, MXGPU release their latest high-energy, minimalist track following their sell-out event Live Under Lisbon and ahead of their appearance at Gardens of Babylon.
As a brand new beginning, ‘Lagged Out’ sees MXGPU join forces with fellow Portuguese producers Moullinex and GPU Panic on Lisbon-based label Discotexas. This project combines both artist’s styles and builds on the collaborative process between their studio and incredible live shows.
Continuing in the direction of their debut album, Sudden Light, following September’s ‘All The Love’, we get into the depths of the band’s sound with ‘Lagged Out’. The track sees the artists go fully into a simplistic style, with high tempo and powerful melodic house beats. The track maintains its intensity throughout. With a raw and direct energy, ‘Lagged Out’ has already received support in the artists high energy shows. “We have some of our most minimal tracks here. It’s also super fast. The DNA is very peak time, so it was made intentionally for our hybrid sets.” – MXGPU.
This single comes with a growing collection of live material. Their latest release, Live Over Porto, shows the artists incredible set at Primavera Sound Porto in June 2026 in one long take. During the set MXGPU were situated above the festival’s main dancefloor. The artists created a massive triangular shape that became the focus of the crowd below. This gave the artists the unique 360 style the festival needed.
Transforming a Secret Metro Location into a Club
On October 10th MXGPU brought an incredible show to Lisbon with their sold-out event Live Under Lisbon. Hidden Metro Olaias was transformed into an underground club with the artists creating a secret section of the metro. With over eight hours of music and live performances, the artists brought together Adriana Ruas, Isadora (Live), Madd Rod, Sainte Vie (Live) and MXGPU (Live) to celebrate the wide range of modern electronic music and the creative spirit of Lisbon. The artists always look to transform their performances with new locations. They constantly search for new spots that can create a new dimension. Throughout their career they have explored how space can be transformed with the use of architecture, mood and positioning to create a new connection between music and audience. Whether it be their 2025 set above the Tagus River or their incredible Primavera Sound Porto set, MXGPU always look to perform their music in unique locations. Continuing this trend, the artists brought their experimental style to a local audience.
MXGPU Performed at Gardens of Babylon
MXGPU headed to Amsterdam for their performance on Sunday 25th October as part of The Seekers of Light showcase at Gardens of Babylon. The event took place at WestWeelde from 20:30–22:00. Gardens of Babylon combined music, art, performance and community with an immersive multi-day event. The event focused on togetherness and alternative forms of expression, something that MXGPU had become known for. The artists delivered their unique 360° set, utilising their iconic triangle. As part of a series of performances, the artists created a space focused around the audience.
