MEETCH and TLUXX have come together to create their latest collaboration with Carly Lind titled ‘Thunder’. Released around the excitement of Amsterdam Dance Event, ‘Thunder’ fuses Progressive House with modern House to create a well-balanced track with a great sound, feel and danceability.

The track kicks off with some smooth synth lines and heavy beats, creating a complex rhythm and large melodies. Carly Lind adds a lovely touch with her soft, dreamy vocals. This gives the track a nice feel to it as it builds throughout. Overall, it has a very clean and upbeat feel with strong potential for the main stage. The track really does have a great build throughout. It doesn’t try to push you forward with huge drops every few seconds but instead lets the track breathe. This creates tension during the softer parts of the track, which makes the bigger sections hit harder. Like the track name suggests, it has a variety of moods throughout.

MEETCH explains that the track is inspired by the ups and downs of relationships, friends and life.
“Thunder is like a memory of the good and bad times with ex-partners and friendships. Early days in new relationships, there’s so much rush and excitement at the time. But similar to a storm, it all ends up calming down and ending. It just depends how you look at it. Sometimes storms are super scary and even damaging. Could go the same way with relationships and people you meet. I know I’ve had my fair share of horror stories and bad times with people. Just like a storm, the cycle repeats. Just like a song, you repeat the songs you like. Tune in to Thunder!”

TLUXX explains that it was a simple collaboration between the two. It allowed them to combine their styles.
“‘Thunder’ came together so easily. Writing this vocal with Carly was a flawless collaboration. When it comes to electronic music, who better to work with than an actual robot? Pulse Theory vs Robotic Rumble, and we did just that.”

Carly Lind came up with the concept for the lyrics. She was thinking about her past relationships and how people never really appreciate what you do until you’re gone.
“I was thinking about my past relationships when writing this. How people really never appreciate everything you do until you’re gone and thought this could literally be a whole song and more. So I brought the “you’re gonna miss me when you’re gone” lyrics to them both and they just ran with it.”

Outside of the studio, MEETCH and TLUXX combined their brands during ADE. On Friday the 23rd of October, they had a collaborative pop-up event at Bar Bacan in Amsterdam from 3pm-8:30pm. Robotic Rumble (MEETCH) and Pulse Theory (TLUXX) were combined with Castor & Pollux, Hel:sløwed, AFTERUS, Aldor and Rikki (winner of the DJ contest at Tomorrowland).

Overall, MEETCH, TLUXX and Carly Lind have created a beautiful collaboration. With a melodic build and lyrics about emotions, it captures the unpredictable nature of human connections. It has a large electronic sound which will leave a lasting impression.
