The new EP explores repetition, routine and the everyday rhythms of modern life, through a trip-hop inspired sound. ^L_ has released Stories From the Ghost City, a new five-track EP, on September 18, 2026, via Mind Connector Records.

The project is about the repetition of daily life and the examination of the routines that quietly slip into our everyday lives. From the commute to work and paying the bills to shopping for new technology and watching television at the end of the day Stories From the Ghost City examines the familiar cycle of modern living.

Instead of focusing on major events, ^L_ focuses on the small moments that make up everyday life. The EP is built around the idea of a person going through the same routine day after day, gradually becoming part of a system that can feel almost automatic.

Repetition becomes a subject and a creative basis, and that idea is carried throughout the project. The result is a portrait of life today, where familiar habits, responsibilities, and consumer routines are inseparable from the world around us.

Musically, the EP takes from the atmospheric side of trip-hop, with influences from Massive Attack and DJ Shadow. ^L_ blends moody textures and immersive production to help create a soundtrack to the world described throughout the project.

In its five tracks, Stories From the Ghost City captures the feeling of living inside a never-ending routine. Its “Ghost City” is one in which life continues to go on around us, in familiar patterns repeated day after day.

Stories From the Ghost City is out now on Mind Connector Records.
