Independent artist ECHO released his highly anticipated album ‘Shattered Sky’ on 26th June 2026, delivering a powerful fusion of hyperpop, dark hyperpop and glitchcore.
‘Shattered Sky’ is a dark, melancholic exploration of isolation, digital decay and post-apocalyptic futures. Drawing from his personal experiences as an Eastern European artist living in the US, alongside cyberpunk and gaming aesthetics, the album features distorted vocals, glitchy drums and rich cinematic atmospheres. These elements combine with a strong pop core and memorable hooks to create an immersive sonic world.
Listeners can expect to feel as though they are walking through a broken digital city at night, overwhelming and emotional, yet carrying a strange sense of hope beneath a shattered sky. As a fully independent project, ECHO managed every aspect himself, including concept, sound direction and artwork, making audience discovery through this campaign especially vital.
Maksym Antonov, known professionally as ECHO, is an independent producer and artist originally from Ukraine and now based in Louisville, Kentucky. Growing up immersed in electronic music, games and dark internet culture, he crafts emotionally heavy, experimental hyperpop and glitchcore with a distinctive cinematic quality. Prior to ‘Shattered Sky’, he released a series of standalone singles and small projects that refined his dystopian, melancholic sound.
His music consistently blends distorted vocals, crushed drums and ambient textures with catchy hooks. Influenced by cyberpunk visuals, FPS and sci-fi games, as well as the sense of disconnection and relocation felt by an Eastern European in the US, ECHO continues to build a cohesive universe around his sound and visuals. Each release deepens the focus on atmosphere, narrative and immersive listening experiences.
