We sat down with Bonetti to talk about the origins of his latest EP, joining the KMS Records family and the importance of following his artistic instincts. For Bonetti, House music has always been about staying connected to a sound that feels authentic and true to himself. His strong artist identity, shaped by classic house, is brought to his latest release ‘Just Wanna Touch Me’, signed to KMS Records. Across the EP, his distinct style, which is defined from the beginning and his genuine love for the dancefloor come together, showcasing his style and instincts, without chasing the latest trends within the scene.

When did the idea for the Just Wanna Touch Me EP first begin to take shape?
Hello everyone. I started the title track of the EP at the end of November last year, as well as the second song ‘Feel Da Love’ which I started at the end of the year. The EP took shape during those months.
The EP arrives on KMS Records. What does it mean to you personally to become part of a label with such an important history in electronic music?
Being part of such an important, iconic label with such a rich history is incredible for me, and I’m very proud of it. I hope there will be more releases on KMS Records after this one.
Your career to date has seen you work with a number of influential labels. Is there a particular release from your catalogue that you feel was a real turning point for you as an artist?
This is definitely one of them. I couldn’t name a specific one. Perhaps my single ‘I Can’t Give You Up’ released on Blacksoul Music is one of them, as it reached the number one on the Traxsource Nu Disco chart. I’d also say that releasing music on other major labels like Stealth Records, Jackies Music Records, Quantize Recordings and MoBlack Records have been turning points.
How has your approach to making music changed since you first started producing?
My musical approach since I started producing has changed as I’ve evolved as an artist. Over the years, I’ve become more demanding of myself, though I’ve always been very persistent and hardworking. I’ve never been swayed by musical trends or fads, and I’ve always been true to myself and my own tastes.
What was the most enjoyable part, and the most challenging part, of the creative process behind Just Wanna Touch Me?
The most rewarding and challenging part of the creative process for this EP has been translating the idea into both songs with my approach and vision of classic house and bringing it to fruition. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed producing them and the final result.

The electronic music world moves incredibly fast. How do you stay true to yourself while continuing to develop as an artist?
As I’ve said before, I’ve always had a defined personality and style since the beginning. I’m loyal to the House sound and its variations. I prefer not to be constrained or follow musical trends or fads.
Is there a particular person who has had a significant impact on your career or encouraged you at an important moment?
No one in particular. The people who have had a significant impact on my career or who have encouraged me at an important moment are my friends, who have made me believe in myself and in what I can contribute musically with my talent and good taste.
What do you hope this EP says about where you are creatively right now?
I hope this EP conveys my current creative state, my energy, and my passion for creating. I always try to make people happy by letting them dance to my music or forget their everyday problems.
When you are not making or playing music, what other interests or hobbies are important to you?
When I’m not creating or playing music, I care about other interests or hobbies such as sports, exercising, watching a good movie or series, being in contact with nature or going out with friends.
If someone is discovering Bonetti for the first time through Just Wanna Touch Me, what do you hope they take away from the EP and your music?
If someone discovers me for the first time through this EP, I hope they take away a moment of happiness and enjoyment from this release and my music. I hope it brightens their day or makes them feel alive and dance.
With ‘Just Wanna Touch Me’, Bonetti continues to reinforce an artistic identity built around authenticity and classic house. The EP marks another significant moment in his journey, bringing his sound to KMS Records. ‘Just Wanna Touch Me’ is out now on KMS Records. Stream and purchase here.
