Body Movements returns in 2026 for another edition of London’s leading queer DIY dance music festival. Founded by DJ Saoirse, Clayton Wright (Little Gay Brother), and seasoned London promoter Simon Denby, the festival champions queer and trans artists, collectives, and communities, bringing together global talent and grassroots crews for a party unlike any other in the capital – and maybe the world.

Taking place at Southwark Park, London on Sunday 30th August, this year’s festival unfolds across 5, lovingly designed stages -Mother, The Strap, Snatch, Hot Mess, and Glory Hole – bringing together a lineup that reflects the collective joy, power, and revindicative nature of contemporary queer dance music, in all its transmutations.

Re-queering the Dancefloor:

Spanning house, techno, ballroom, breaks, hyperpop, and experimental club sounds, the 2026 programme brings together established international artists and key figures from London’s queer underground.

From BASHKKA’s expanding of the Ballroom gospel to the SWANA world, through to MCR-T’s global ghettotech, via the edgy, urgent 4/4 of Hannah Holland or Jaye Ward, 2026 presents artists from across the 2SLGBTQIA+ spectrum upping the ante, and pushing dance music into new and irresistibly weird territories.

Elsewhere, pop and r&b get similarly skewered, with Babymorocco closing the circle on hyperpop, Hezen’s skittering, deconstructed take on French chanson, or SIX SEX’s gloriously sex-positive ‘neoperreo’ – Bad Bunny this isn’t.

Of course, it’s not a kiki without Mother, and Body Movements delivers, with sets from Romy,  Eris Drew & Octo Octa, and a b2b from Saoirse & Shanti Celeste, to bring us home.

Crews and collectives:

Since its beginning, Body Movements has been a collective endeavour, and once again the festival opens its doors to the crews that play a vital role in sustaining queer nightlife year-round – creating safer spaces, championing underrepresented artists, and nurturing new talent within the scene. Body Movements 2026 sees takeovers and co-curations across the site by  2CPERREA, Adonis, Bodyswap, Boudica, Club Are, Dalston Superstore, Daytimers, Fèmmme Fraîche, House of Revlon UK, Inferno, Jungle Kitty, Little Gay Brother, Meat Free, Neurotica, PLASTYK, Playbody, Queer House Party, Rawmantique, and Sextou.

Outside of music, the festival also becomes a space for queer culture and celebration, with activities such as Jay Jay Revlon’s Vogue Masterclass or the Fancy a Mooch Queer Market, with more TBA.

Further details on stage breakdowns, collective takeovers, and additional programming will be announced in the lead-up to the festival. Pre-sale sign-up here.
