Europe’s Biggest Dance Show will return on Friday 20 September with BBC Radio 1 joining forces with ten radio stations across nine countries for a marathon broadcast, showcasing the best of each nation’s Dance scene.
The Dance extravaganza will kick off at 6.30pm with Radio 1’s Danny Howard at the helm for the first thirty minutes before handing over to our broadcasting partners across the European Broadcasting Union. Listeners from across the globe can expect to hear Dance music from some of the biggest UK acts, the hottest European DJs, and a very special show from Ukraine.
Radio 1 has a rich history of championing Dance music in the UK and around the world, with the first show of this kind taking place in 2019. Now a highly anticipated feature of the Dance music calendar, Europe’s Biggest Dance Show unites stations from across the continent to bring the very best Dance music to an audience of millions.
Danny Howard says: “It’s my third time doing Europe’s Biggest Dance Show and I still find it mind blowing how big this is for UK Dance music and Europe as a whole. To capture the essence of the dance floor and supersize that into one big continental community, celebrating our respective (super talented) artists for one night only is going to be huge!”
Aled Haydn Jones, Head of BBC Radio 1, says: “I’m very pleased to be broadcasting with our European Broadcasting partners once again to bring an epic night of Dance music to millions across the world. It’s going to be a massive celebration and I can’t wait to tune in.”
Listeners can hear all the action live on BBC Radio 1 and BBC Sounds from 6.30pm BST on Friday 20 September.
