‘Bam Bidi Bam’: Molella Joins Forces with Major Lazer’s Walshy Fire and Dancehall Talent

A gathering of dance music powerhouses, ‘Bam Bidi Bam’ sees Italian DJ/producer Molella team up with Major Lazer-affiliated Walshy Fire, reggae artist KG Man and EDM producer Prime Punk. With a production and writing credit on Gala’s worldwide smash ‘Freed From Desire,’ Molella has long been responsible for writing/producing some of the most successful dance music in Italy. Walshy Fire, meanwhile, has been at the vanguard of bringing dancehall to the mainstream electronic music space via Major Lazer and his work with Grammy-winning Jamaican star Koffee.

Available now via TV Recordings, the new single is a high-octane concoction of European club anthems and Caribbean rhythms. Big-bottomed grooves, relentless percussion and a massive vocal hook make ‘Bam Bidi Bam’ a guaranteed floor-filler, from late-night clubbing to festival headline performances.

With its infectious rhythms and singalong chorus, ‘Bam Bidi Bam’ is a real mood booster, fusing together European and Caribbean sounds. Molella lays down the foundations of a classic European club anthem, while Prime Punk brings in the grunt of a modern mainstage track, Walshy Fire adds the characteristic dancehall lilt and KG Man brings a raw reggae feel to proceedings.
