Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) has closed out its 30th anniversary celebrations with a five-day celebration of its impact on the electronic music, clubbing and global music scene. ADE will return on 20th-24th October 2027.

ADE began in 1996 and has become one of the biggest international dance festivals. ADE 2026 highlighted this by bringing over 300+ venues across the city, including some of Amsterdam’s most beloved nightspots along with museums, cultural centres and unique venues. Venues include: Gashouder, Paradiso, Melkweg, Ziggo Dome, Club RAUM, Shelter and Bajes. Alongside other exciting spots including Centrale Markthal, ARTIS Aquarium, Wereldmuseum and Fabrique des Lumières.
The celebration kicked off with some incredible collabs. At Gashouder, the sold-out Swan Lake Remixed for ADE saw the Dutch National Ballet collaborate with ISH Dance Collective for an unforgettable blend of classical ballet and modern dance. Whilst at Melkweg, Kybba joined forces with Metropole Orkest. Boris Acket put on an impressive multi-disciplinary set at Centrale Markthal with EINDER, alongside Koninklijk Concertgebouw Orkest. Collaborations were held throughout with Elias Mazian, Djrum and Kianí Del Valle, the choreographer. ADE invited celebrated French electronic musician Jean-Michel Jarre as the official Guest of Honour. He had a range of talks at Felix Meritis discussing AI and spatial audio and a stunning live set at AFAS Live. The event also continued to support new talent by hosting ADE Lab at Westergas. The venue had ADE Lab Discovery, which was free to new talents and ADE Lab On Track, which is an academy route.
Outside of its live programming, ADE worked with VibeLab to create the first-ever Nighttime Culture Index. Researching over 12,000 lineups, 3000 venues and almost 30,000 cultural events, the aim is to understand how culturally important nightlife is globally.
