Hard Techno’s most in-demand names headline Sound Waves‘ XMAS Edition XL in Lisbon this month, with a host of newcomers joining established regulars for what promises to be a memorable December party in the Portuguese capital.

The XMAS Edition XL in Lisbon marks the festival’s new chapter, with its first-ever appearance outside of Porto‘s Hard Club. Following its launch in 2023 and a record-breaking Summer Edition in Esmoriz, the festive finale will take place on Saturday, 19 December from 20:00 to 06:00 at Pavilhão Carlos Lopes.

The closing of the line up adds world-class names

British DJ Azyr is a rising star in the hard techno scene, and a key name associated with Teletech. He joins the bill alongside Fatima Hajji, one of the scene’s most established and respected figures. With a reputation for powerful vocals and a relentless energy, she arrives after a busy summer of performances and the recent release of her remix of the classic Atlantis.

Russian duo Zapravka will deliver a high-energy live set brimming with catchy rhythms and crowd-pleasing anthems. Representing Portugal, Ornella returns to Sound Waves as one of the local scene‘s most exciting talents. Associated with 44 Label Group, she is known for her hard-hitting schranz selections and powerful mixing skills.

The program also includes Prada 2000, a Gotec resident whose sets are a blend of hard trance, bounce and hard house, with appearances at F2F, HÖR Berlin and Mondo under his belt. Rounding out the international additions are Bøęry, a prominent figure in the bochka movement, and Blnk b2b Titi, whose industrial techno pairing promises an uncompromising set.

Following its biggest-ever Summer Edition, the XMAS Edition XL in Lisbon, marks the end of a triumphant year for Sound Waves. With over 35 nationalities represented at last month’s event in Esmoriz, the XMAS Edition XL’s full line-up is set to draw a sizeable crowd to the Portuguese capital. Tickets are on sale now, with eager punters set to experience a Christmas celebration fuelled by hard techno, industrial techno and high-energy performances.
