After his tour in Europe, Tantok released the EP playing in the Miami Music Week. The EP includes three tracks and a collaboration with Lucas Perdomo.
Music producer and DJ Tantok has released his new EP, All That I Need, under the Natura Viva label. Available for DJs to buy on Beatport.
Available on streaming platforms since 21 March, the EP features three tracks: All That I Need, Lie So Easy, and Not Lost At All, the latter in collaboration with Argentine producer Lucas Perdomo.
Following an European tour that included performances in Italy and a debut at the iconic Ministry of Sound in London, Tantok returns with a project that reflects his recent experiences. The EP incorporates influences from deep house, melodic house, and progressive house, blending various sonic elements to create diverse musical atmospheres.
The title track, All That I Need, highlights the connection between Tantok and his audience, featuring vocals written and performed by the artist himself. Lie So Easy explores themes of separation, combining melodic production with licensed vocals from Rayne. Not Lost At All, created during his move to Denver in 2023, gains a new dimension with Lucas Perdomo’s contribution, adding progressive percussion to the arrangement.
Tantok drew inspiration from his recent experiences to craft the tracks. All That I Need was developed through sound design experimentation, utilising equipment such as the Moog Minitaur and Prophet Rev 2. The track conveys a theme of dedication to music and the audience, reflecting his artistic growth.
Lie So Easy follows a dancefloor-oriented approach, featuring an intense melodic structure. The track was tested in performances at venues such as The Church Nightclub in Denver and received a positive audience response. With elements reminiscent of producers like Tinlicker, the track maintains an immersive atmosphere, with the licensed vocals serving as a key highlight.
The collaboration with Lucas Perdomo on Not Lost At All stemmed from Tantok’s desire to explore new sounds. With influences from organic house and progressive house, the track combines rhythmic textures with an immersive melody. The partnership resulted in an arrangement that merges South American references with a contemporary approach to the genre.
Lucas Perdomo is a DJ and producer whose journey began in 2009, later expanding into music production in 2015. Unbound by a single genre, his sets create hypnotic, spacey atmospheres, blending Progressive, Melodic, Deep, House, and Indie sounds. With releases on over 25 renowned labels, including Exx Underground, Natura Viva, and Droid9, his work has gained support from industry heavyweights like Hernán Cattaneo and John Digweed. He has performed at top venues such as Crobar, Bahrein, and Niceto Club, as well as in cities across Argentina and internationally, including Lima, Peru.
All That I Need marks a new phase in Tantok’s journey, solidifying his sonic identity and expanding his presence in the electronic music scene. The EP also stands as his second original release, following Shape Shifter EP, which came out in 2021.
The release coincides with a busy schedule for Tantok, who is preparing for performances during Miami Music Week in multiple venues. On March 25, he plays at Red Bar in Miami Brickell. March 26 features a packed lineup with sets at Miami & Friends Pool Party at Higher Dream Hotel, Casa Alta, Red Bar in Miami Brickell, and The Sandbox. On March 27, he will perform at Nexus Lounge Radio at The Goodtime Hotel, Buro Wynwood, and once again at Red Bar in Miami Brickell. March 28 includes a daytime set from 12pm to 10pm at The Gates Hotel with My House Radio in South Beach Miami, followed by a late-night performance from 11pm to 4am at Shotimilco in Little Havana Miami.
On March 29, he returns to Shotimilco from 10pm to 4am and also plays at Kill Your Idol. March 30 sees him back at The Gates Hotel from 12pm to 10pm with My House Radio in South Beach Miami, followed by a Boat Party from 2pm to 10pm traveling from Ft Lauderdale to Miami Ultra Downtown. Finally, on April 4, he will perform at Neon Grotto in Austin, TX, alongside Steve Slider.
