A spectacular new concert production celebrating the music of Depeche Mode will be arriving at Berlin’s Uber Arena on 16 December 2026. Christian Eigner, the band’s longtime drummer, will join the lineup.

After a debut that attracted more than 10,000 fans, 101 Voices – Depeche Mode Special Tribute is taking its ambitious production to Berlin. The show features the power of a symphony orchestra and a 45-member male choir, combined with electronic music, a live rock band and professional vocalists.

The two-plus-hour set will include 28 Depeche Mode classics, but the exact set list will remain a secret until the performance begins.

One of the special guests of the evening, Christian Eigner, has been playing with Depeche Mode in their live shows since 1997 and has become a familiar face on their tours. He’ll be on stage with Christian Schottstädt, singer of the German Depeche Mode tribute band Forced To Mode.

The reinvention of the Depeche Mode sound

101 Voices isn’t your average tribute concert; it’s a project that aims to explore the music in a broader, more ambient context.

The 2026 production is heavily informed by the darker mood associated with Depeche Mode’s Black Celebration period and includes new arrangements of material from Music for the Masses and Violator. Famous songs are reinvented through a mix of orchestral arrangements, electronic touches, choral work and visual effects.

“The aim is to discover new dimensions in the music, without losing the emotion and atmosphere that has made Depeche Mode what it is for generations of fans,” says conductor and musical director Richárd Riederauer.

The Berlin performance will feature more than 80 performers.

A Hungarian Production of Grand Scale

The creative team includes Riederauer, artistic director of the Hungarian National Male Choir; the famous drummer, composer and producer Gergő Borlai; and pianist and vocalist Lili Fehér whose work ranges from pop, rock, jazz to blues.

The Hungarian National Male Choir was founded in 1949 and will be accompanied by the Hungarian Studio Orchestra. The production has a rock and electronic edge with a live band of drums, bass, guitar, keyboards and DJs.

The idea was developed by Balázs Petke, Dániel Szabó and György Sallai who have been working on the development of the project for more than ten years.
